Dimension Bond offers the design flexibility to employ the full valving surface of the piston for land placement. By eliminating the need to machine the piston's outside diameter to employ wear bands or piston rings, the entire piston's surface can be employed to maximize the placement of the valving lands.

Dimension Bond bearing grade materials are permanently bonded to the piston, eliminating loose band concerns, premature failure, split or cut bands and assembly issues related to stuffing the banded piston into the pressure tube.

Dimension Bond offers superior dimensional accuracy, which permits the designed pressure tube to piston clearance to exist from its initial assembly, build through the life of the unit.

This dimensional accuracy allows the pressure tube to piston clearance to become a controlled metered clearance which will reduce control force variation and maintain desired damping force rates for the life of the unit. Dimension Bond offers superior performance and durability over all current alternate materials employed in a ride control unit today based on closely controlled OE 1.25 million cycle endurance test in the bi-axial/bi-frequency life test.

Dimension Bond composite grade bearing materials will not wear the shock tube id as will glass filled ptfe banding materials. This maintains the pressure tube clearance because the Dimension Bond materials, even with an extreme side load, will not wear the steel tube.
